Week of October 26-30, 2015

This week periods 1, 4 and 5 will work on our first DBQ project- How Should the Aztecs be remembered? This task will be done primarily in class.Please review the following resources to prepare to write your final Draft.

 

Period 2… Will finish our European Exploration DBQ. Our last class period to work on this task will be Wednesday. Final drafts are due at the beginning of the class period Friday.

Conference Week

As you know this week is conference week. Classes will be shortened this week and students will be dismissed at 2:15 each day.

a. Identify the causes of European exploration and colonization; include religion, natural resources,
a market for goods, and the contributions of Prince Henry the Navigator.
b. Trace the empires of Portugal, Spain, England, and France in Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
c. Trace the colonization of Australia by the United Kingdom.
d. Explain the impact of European empire building in Africa and Asia on the outbreak of WWI.
