Welcome back to the 2017-18 school year! I hope you enjoyed your summer break. I will be your child’s teacher for Social Studies this year. This will be my fourteenth year teaching and my fourth year teaching at Floyd Middle School.  Sixth grade is an exciting time as students emerge as  “middle schoolers” with
unique social, emotional, and academic characteristics. I look forward to working with you to prepare your child for the transition to middle school! Parent support will be greatly appreciated throughout the entire school year. I believe that a consistent line of communication between school and home is the best way to ensure that students are constantly striving to achieve. I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
