End of Year Testing Information

Georgia Milestones testing will begin Monday, April 15, 2019, for eighth grade students.  To accommodate the testing needs of the school, we will utilize various schedules, including a new section of time entitled “E.L.T.” (extended learning time) for students in which they will be able to review concepts, have additional time for assignments from their various classes, and practice test-taking strategies, etc.  This is an excellent opportunity for students to improve their grades/skills.

Below, you will find the Georgia Milestones dates for the sixth grade students:

  • Wed. 04/24 – ELA Section 1
  • Thur. 04/25 – ELA Sections 2/3
  • Fri. 04/26 – Makeups
  • Mon. 05/06 – Math Section 1
  • Tue. 05/07 – Math Section 2
  • Wed. 05/08 – Makeups

In addition, students may access the following links to help alleviate some of their potential test-taking anxiety:

Students will not take the Georgia Milestones for social studies and science, but they will take a county created assessment called Student Growth Measure (SGM). The social studies SGM is tentatively scheduled for 5/16/19. I will place review materials on the blog in the next week.
